Indian Poems: Following the lines into the Heart of India

Welcome to the new home of Indian Poems! I've gathered loads of excellent Indian poetry for you from throughout the ages. If you are poet, from India or have a poem about India then why don't you share it with the world? Let others see what you've got to say and in return see what they've got to say!

Now I don't claim to be a poet but I can appreciate that some things can't be expressed with just pages of information about India.

Search this site

Look at this website - I've got over two hundred pages about India and not one of them has comes close to expressing what India means to me and millions of others. And that exactly why I have added this poetry Page.

It is my hope that with this page, we can truly get to the bottom of what India means to us. To try and depict, through the medium of poetry, what it is about India that we love so much (or hate). I want to see what feelings, meanings and emotions this fascinating country draws from people, both native and guest.

So please even if it's just two lines, write about what you feel, about places you have been and what makes you passionate about this intoxicating phenomenon. Just fill out the little form about the bottom of the page, it only takes two seconds and you don't even have to leave a name.
