Indian Fry Bread Recipe

This Indian Fry Bread recipe is amazingly simple and tastes awsome!

Top the fry breads with taco beef, cheese, salsa, avocado, cilantro and a squeeze of lime for that extra little some thing!




Ingredients

  • 3 cups Flour

  • 1 Tbsp baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • Oil or butter

  • 1 1/2 cups water

Method

Mix the baking soda and flour in a large bowl with a little salt. Stir in water gradually and mix well. Form a ball with the dough.

Lightly four a board or other surface and knead the dough for a couple of minutes. It is important here to not over do the kneading part.

Cover and puit in the fridge for about 30 minutes.

Heat the oil in a large frying pan. Tear of a piece of dough and roll into a small piece, smaller than your fit. Flattern sligghtly and cut a hole in the middle so it resembles a donut.

Shallow fry in the oil untill golden brown on both side. (about 4 mins depending on oil temperature). They should puff up nicely and look something like the photo above.
