Things to consider when choosing a Honeymoon Destination
Your honeymoon is the start to the rest of your married life so getting it right is very important. When deciding where to go on your honeymoon, it is important that you both communicate clearly with each other your desires, needs and wants. Here are a few more steps to take into consideration when choosing a destination.1. How comfortable are you together when travelling in a different country? While you might have spent many months travelling all over the world on your own, your partner to be may not have done and this can be the cause of a lot of stress. On the other hand, you might both be jetsetters eager to see more of your own country. Deciding on what you are both comfortable with is a very important part of choosing a destination. 2. What type of climate do you both enjoy? It is a pretty obvious question but can be somewhat overlooked because of it. She wants the beach, sun, and cocktails, but he wants snow, ice, and some skiing. Of course, the world is a very big place and there is always a compromise available to both parties. Of course, it is easy if you both enjoy the same types of activities and same types of holidays. 3. What activities are you planning? Now that you've decided what type of honeymoon you want and where you'd like to go, it is time to decide what type of activities you'd both like to do. This can be a challenge. As with anything else in a relationship, it takes compromise and communication. If you both love the same type of activities, it's easy, job done and off you go. However, if not, you both might have to compromise somewhat. Fortunately, in most relationships, there are at least a few things that you like to do together. The best honeymoons and holidays are planned around those. 4. When can you both go? This may sound like a stupid question but more and more couples are going on their honeymoons before or a few weeks after their wedding. It can save on stress and help spread the cost of getting married. Discuss what each would prefer, what is realistic and again, reach a compromise. 5. What is your price range? Luckily, I'm not married so I don't know how people decide how the honeymoon is paid for, personally I would pester my parents a bit (that is if they are not already broke from the wedding)!
