This is a very simple Okra recipe for you to try. I am intrigued to see how people get along with this so please let me know. And if you have any improvements to make to this recipe or you have a recipe that you wish to share with the world then please let me know here.

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons butter

  • 1 medium onion, chopped

  • 1 pound fresh okra , sliced

  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger

  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin

  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper

  • 1/2 tsp ground coriander

  • salt

Method

Melt some butter in a large pan over medium heat. Throw in the onion and cook untill soft.

Choop the okra in to small pieces and add slowly being careful to keep stiring. Add some cumin, coriander, ginger, pepper and salt. Cover the pan and let it cook for about 15 - 20 minutes. Stir occasionally.
