Another Journey

Yesterday was a pretty steep learning curve although I managed to hold my ground well and not be conned out of any money, so was pretty impressed about that. Got myslef out of a sticky situation in a shop and told them I didn't want anything...even a carpet they tried to sell me. I whizzed around alot of the trycycles...loads of people wanting to know my business.... I eventually got myself t the bus station where M.D was waiting for me. He just stands out a mile in his imaculate clothing against all the shit, piss and rubbish on the floor and on the people. Got on the bus, 12 hr journey and arrived in Dharasala at about 8am this morning. It is beautiful! Driving through ravines and across ledges on cliffs...spectacular! I met a guy on the bus from Japan who told me a guy in Delhi tried to charge him 200 euros for half a day driving around, he said no and ended up paying him 35 euros....(I think he got quite done) I managed to pay 50r.s for 5 hours driving around (about 60p) anyway there we go. Met a girl from Canada called Ashley who is great and been travelling for 4 months already, such a laugh. We all met at the bus station at 11 (1 english, 2 Japan, 3 Canadians, one French, one Italian, one austrian (who complained about the cold water and so they gave her a bucket and a heating device) extremely funny I thought...as it is a VERY basic lifestyle here. Anyway, all packed on a bus like sardines and careared around some more beautiful cliff tops around mountains and arrived in Mcleod Ganji. The views you would not believe. We have already been into the school and have played with all the children...quite fun! It is nice t be away from the INTENSE Delhi...much more peaceful and slow here, I just can't wait until our trek...
